lyrics
How lost, the empty vessel sways. Consumed with grief, opened and splayed. Tainted by poisoned veins.
Cutting, let the insects in. Bleeding from the lines within. I'm ashamed, I am guilty of it all. Separating from the skin. Evisceration, precision. I am stained, bitter and denied.
The noose is willing, if so is the man. His desperation can be quieted. A life of agony snuffed away. A legacy of regret, burdened by your name.
How long, the endless breadth of days. Binding of constant misery, silenced by the sharpest blade.
Shards of glass and broken skin. Visceral and violent, I abstain. I am sentenced, I am chained. Separating from the skin. Evisceration, precision. I am claimed by the voices of the night.
The noose is willing, if so is the man. His desperation can be quieted. A life of agony, snuffed away. A legacy of regret, burdened by your name.
Vacant eyes gaze upon the eternal end, to burn in shame;
Razed and ruined, negated in his final stand.
Mantled; shackled by guilt. Ultimate resolved in the body's wilt.
Weary of reticence, retching on this final breath.
Don't get me wrong. This is really good and everything is on point. But I'm just kind of confused about the huge elephant in the room regarding the band's name. Seriously? Like how is this not going to get mixed up with THE Leviathan? The Jef Whitehead 20+ year beast? I mean... what's next - "THE BTLS", "MTRHD" or maybe "VN HLN?" Music like this needs a less obvious touchpoint. Because as much as I like "Eradication of Nescience" - it's now begging to be compared to "Scar Sighted." Aka ... GTFO. bcb723
Just an excellent concept EP all around, and being Sinmara there's these signature nuanced elements you hear throughout, and it's glorious. Everything this band has done thus far is brilliant. D.
Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann
